Jack Nixon

Jack Nixon has lived in the Logan/Hyde Park area for the last 55 years. Jack and his wife Charlotte raised five children. He received his Bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University in Marketing, Business Management, Finance and Banking. He continued his education at Utah State University, receiving a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Jack currently owns and operates Nixon and Nixon Inc. a Land Development & Construction Company and CENTURY 21 N&N REALTORS® . He has developed over 22 subdivisions ranging in size from five to 154 lots, primarily in Cache and Weber Counties.

Jack is active in professional, civic and church organizations.  He has served on advisory boards for local banks; and been a member of the National Association of Review Appraisers. Jack has also been a member of the Land Use Committee of National Board of Realtors. He is a past President of the Logan Board of Realtors, Logan Lions Club, and Northern Utah Home Builders Association. Jack has served two terms as Chairman of Utah Power and Light Consumer Advisory Board; been a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council at USU, College of Business.

 

On two occasions, Jack has served as a bishop and also as a member of a stake presidency in his church.

 

He has been recognized by Local Jaycees as an "Outstanding Young Man of America". In 1986, USU Alumni Association and College of Business recognized him with their professional Achievement Award. Jack has done appraising, practiced general Real Estate, and been a Real Estate Broker for over 50 years.

 

He is currently serving as a SCORE Counselor, a member of Utah Coalition for Utah’s Future Committee, the USU Community Issues Committee, and the Apartment Association Committee. He is also on the Board of Directors for Utah Home Builders Association and the membership Chairman of Northern Utah Home Builders Association.
